Interplay of selected efflux protein inhibitors on the antibacterial activity and pharmacokinetics of enrofloxacin in Chicken

The present study was designed to determine the interplay of efflux protein inhibitors on antibacterial activity and pharmacokinetics enrofloxacin in chicken. Capsaicin theobromine were used as inhibitors. Birds weighing about 1.5 2.0 kg allocated 3 groups six at random. Group I served control, whereas II III birds coad ministered with capsaicin along enrofloxacin. plasma levels determined by HPLC. pharmacokinetic parameters estimated using Pksolver. Coadministration improved bioavailability assessed microbroth dilution technique per CLSI guidelines MIC determinant against ATCC strains E. coli, S. aureus, K. pnemoniae, P. aureginosae. results obtained reveaed that combination obrominne enhanced reducing values. may be beneficial development resistance after conducting further studies.
